Vaccinations

Creekside does not accept cats without the standard vaccinations completed  seven days prior to check-in unless a letter from a Veterinarian is provided to excuse from one or more vaccinations. We make copies of the health records and file with the boarding agreement.

Safety is our number one responsibility and concern, which is why we are adamant about vaccinations. Ask your local veterinarian office what your feline needs to protect while being in a boarding facility. 

  Some vaccinations are required every three years.

 Ask your Veterinarian what is best for your feline in a boarding hotel.  * When you remove your feline from the home and into a boarding situlation you need to protect against a number of viruses. Our hotel is clean with large rooms. We use fresh bedding, litter, pillows, etc. between kitty guests. We enjoy repeat clients some have been here over 25 times in since 2005! This speaks volumes for the service and care we provide.

Cleaning Products Used In Our Boarding Hotel.

Melaleuca is a company that cares about the world we live in. The produces are all gentle, fresh smelling, and effective to use. Our kitty hotel needed a safe produce with properties that would kill viruses and bacteria. In 2005 Melaleuca launched just the produce we needed for our feline clients in this boarding facility. These high effective products are gentle enough to use around children, pets, and food.

Sol-U-Guard is a safe effective germ killer with-out harsh chemicals we trust for both our hotel and home. Melaleuca have combine citric acid to the disinfectant power of botanical thymol. We use this earth friendly produce in all kitty hotel laundry, kitty brushes, travel crates and kitty toys. We want you to understand that this business cares about your cat and the world we all live in.

 *Generally, we follow the wishes of your Veterinarian concerning vaccinations. Some Veterinarians are now of the opinion that their older cat clients have built up sufficient antibodies from 10 or more years of shots and no longer need annual vaccinations at all. Have your Veterinarian call us or write a note if your cat needs to be excused. 

 Flea Control - "Advantage" one- week prior to check-in. It is recommended that owners have their feline friends on a flea prevention. While we have never had reports of fleas most all clients protect their cats against fleas all year round. This is highly recommended by most vet offices. Remember your cat is now out and needs to be protected.

LITTER BOXES - All litter boxes are scrubbed and disinfectanted with a pet friendly cleaner from Melaleuca called Sol-U-Guard Botanical. This product kills 99.9% bacteria and viruses on hard and non-porous sufaces.

All long-term feline guest receive new litter box & fresh litter PRN.

Recommended

Rabies - Saliva (bite wounds and is fatal to people.)

Nails clipped before coming into our hotel. Creekside close each wing to paint every fall.

Dry food/ treats stored in sealed container; we store all personal food in rooms.

Male cats over six months must be neutered.

Transporting - For safety reasons cats must arrive and depart in their carrier or on a leash.
